Today the Church joyfully celebrates Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Millions of faithful throughout the world turn to her with confidence, asking for her protection, her intercession, and her help on the path to Christ. And precisely on this day, the Gospel reveals to us who belongs to the true family of Jesus: "Whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother." Mary is the perfect example of these words. She heard the voice of God, responded with a generous "yes," and remained faithful to the foot of the cross.
