More than two months ago, a shocking video of Vadim Tekhov attacking his ex-wife, Regina Gagieva, with a knife rocked society. The brutal, bloody attack on the young woman, captured on CCTV, instantly spread across messaging apps and social media across the country. Tekhov fled the scene, taking the murder weapon and the woman's cell phone with him, leaving her to bleed to death. Doctors battled for Regina's life for a week, but the wounds inflicted by her ex-husband proved fatal. Tekhov turned himself in to the police, and a criminal case was opened against him under Article 30, Part 1, Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code (attempted murder). In an exclusive interview with Krylia TV, the deceased's sister, Roxana Gagieva, described the investigation, how the family is coming to terms with the loss of a loved one, and how they intend to fight for justice and the rights of Regina's three-year-old son.
