It took several years of struggling as well as misdiagnoses ranging from depression to bipolar to arrive to that point. I grappled with the idea of suicide throughout my story, and also discuss many of my symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, and paranoia. My hope is that this provides viewers with a better understanding of what living with this mental illness can look like. Also, to show that my mental illness does not define me, and there is absolutely hope for living a fulfilling life with the diagnosis.
