The death of a man who fell from a rock in the Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area has caused outrage and once again brought to the forefront the discussion about safety during extreme sports. Caio Arrabal, 44, known as "Rocha," died after falling from a cliff at Pedra dos Macacos, in Maricá, during a hike with friends. According to reports, Caio met the group through social media, stated he had experience in hiking, and participated normally in the hike to the viewpoint. After the group photo, he decided to climb alone to a rock on the edge of the precipice to take pictures.
