Search and Rescue Drone Operation 12-19-2022 CIRCLE K THIEVES!

On Monday December 19, 2022 the Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office requested our assistance to search for two thieves who just shoplifted $160 worth of booze from the Port Allen Circle K. They led authorities on a 30 mile chase from I-10 into the deep woods of the Butte La Rose area. We were searching for a black male and a black female. They abandoned their vehicle at the end of the road. Drone pilots Grant Jarreau and Dave K Jarreau responded with the DJI Enterprise Advanced Drone and the DJI Mini 3 Pro. The sporadic rain limited our flying but we were still able to catch the female after a nearby trail cam captured a pic of them and sent it to the owner. The male subject ran off into the woods but was captured the next day after a very cold and wet night in the woods.
