The great Russian icon painter Andrey RUBLEV created the real world masterpieces. The frescoes in the Dormition Cathedral of Vladimir were painted in 1408. In this video I show you the 12th century Cathedral, that was the main church of the North East of the Medieval Rus at the time. The beautiful paintings survived in great condition. The Last Judgement, Jesus Christ and Apostles, the Forefathers. The city of Vladimir, 200 km East of Moscow, was the real political centre of this area in the 12th - 14th centuries.
