I Don’t Like The PIGGY ISH. Getting In The Gutter With The Pigs.

In this episode, I ponder should I be a little more guttery? After watching, please chime in. Most clients hire an attorney because they want a problem solved. Somewhere along the way, though, people start focusing on the fight instead of the outcome. They’ll ask me why I don’t respond to every insult, every nasty email, or every disrespectful comment from opposing counsel. My answer is simple: I don’t like getting in the gutter with the pigs. I’d rather spend my energy figuring out what the end zone looks like and then building a strategy to get there. That doesn’t mean aggressive attorneys are bad attorneys. Some of the most effective lawyers I’ve ever met are extremely aggressive. There is a difference, however, between being aggressive and being belligerent. In this video, I talk about why I stay focused on results, why some lawyers get distracted by the fight itself, and why winning the case is more important than winning an argument. #RealTalkRealSituationsRealLaw #Litigation #GutterLaw
