Development occurred gradually with the arrival of new residents and the expansion of commercial activities. In 1953, the municipality achieved its political emancipation and, since then, has experienced intense growth. The municipality is home to thousands of industries, small factories, and raw material suppliers, driving the local economy and generating thousands of jobs.
