#CoberturaDossier || Caracas sigue en riesgo: ciudadanos viven entre grietas, miedo y abandono
Three and a half weeks after the earthquakes that shook northern Venezuela, hundreds of families in Caracas continue to live amidst cracks, compromised structures, and the uncertainty of whether their homes will withstand another aftershock. In this report, we visited the Lourdes building in the San José parish of the Libertador municipality, where engineers and Civil Protection officials recommended demolishing the above-ground water tank and rebuilding part of the structure due to the risk it poses to residents. In this report: 🔹 The structural risk faced by buildings that remain standing. 🔹 Testimonies from residents forced to abandon their apartments. 🔹 The cost of repairs and the impossibility of covering them with their own resources. 🔹 The fear of squatters in vacant homes. 🔹 The concern about new aftershocks and the lack of permanent solutions. 🔹 The impact this emergency has had on the daily lives of dozens of families. At Dossier Venezuela, we continue to document the human and social consequences of this tragedy, giving a voice to those who are still waiting for answers.
