Hey guys, after a well-deserved vacation, today we're bringing you an interesting video where we'll show you how to easily imitate textured paint (very important: fine texture, not medium or coarse) with great results. Stay tuned to the channel, as we've recorded a lot of content that we'll be posting regularly. *Difficulty: Easy. *Approximate time: 3 hours (excluding drying time). *Tools needed: paintbrush, roller, paint tray, spatulas. *Materials needed: masking tape, masking paper, floor paper, plastic sheeting, filler, emulsion paint, and textured paint repair spray. Steps: 01:28 Prepare the work area by moving any furniture that might be in the way and covering doors, floors, furniture, etc., to avoid getting paint on them while applying the spray. 02:05 Prepare the filler and fill the holes or patches to be imitated, trying to level them with the wall as much as possible and avoiding going too high above the original texture. Apply 1 or 2 coats depending on how it looks, respecting the drying time between coats. 03:32 Once the filler is dry, sand the entire area with 150-grit sandpaper, paying special attention to the joints with the original texture. These must be sanded well to properly integrate the patch into the rest of the wall. 04:12 Remove all the dust generated by sanding. 04:27 Apply a coat of emulsion paint to the filled areas. Never spray directly onto the filler, as this will diminish the texture and leave you with an etched effect rather than a textured finish. 05:28 Wait 2 or 3 hours for the paint to dry. Now we can apply the textured finish. We carefully open the can, as the nozzle is inside. We shake it vigorously, attach the nozzle, and before applying it to the wall, we do several tests on a piece of paper or cardboard to familiarize ourselves with its use. Apply the droplet in a circular motion, shaking the can constantly. It's very important to clean the nozzle with a damp cloth and always make the patch larger to disguise and blend it in. 7:06 Once familiar with its use, we apply it to the patches we want to imitate. 8:18 Let it dry for about half an hour and go over the patches again with the spray, repeating the previous step, as the droplet will have shrunk. 9:49 Let it dry for 2 or 3 hours and make sure the droplet has hardened by touching it before painting.
