Passed the FE Exam on His 4th Try | What Finally Worked

Mohammed graduated from Ohio State University with a civil engineering degree in 2019. He thought taking the FE Civil exam shortly after school would give him the best chance to pass but it didn't. He took the FE Civil exam 4 times before finally passing. Along the way, he tried self-studying, enrolled in PPI, scheduled an exam he never showed up for, and spent years trying to figure out why he wasn't getting the results he wanted. One of his biggest challenges was focus. After a full day of work, sitting through long lectures was difficult. He found himself forgetting topics he had already studied and constantly feeling like he was starting over. What finally changed was finding a structured roadmap, studying during the hours when his focus was strongest, and documenting everything he learned so he could review it later instead of relearning it from scratch. What finally worked: Studying before work instead of after work. Using Genie Prep as his primary study resource. Taking detailed notes and creating his own review system. Following a structured plan instead of jumping between resources. Practicing with the NCEES FE Practice Exam. ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 Teaser 00:37 When did you graduate and what did you study? 01:27 When was the first time you took the FE? 01:45 And you decided to take which FE exam? 02:15 How many times did you take the FE exam before you passed? 02:36 Can you walk us through your attempts? 05:17 How did you come across Genie Prep? 05:55 What would you say are some of the things that really helped you pass your FE exam that were in our courses? 06:49 Did you use any other study material or practice exams alongside the course? 08:54 On your last attempt, how many months did you study and how many hours did you study during the week and the weekend? 10:39 What kept you going?
