Declared by the United Nations and the International Labour Organization (ILO) to draw attention to and raise awareness about child labor, June 12th, World Day Against Child Labour, has once again brought the discussions on children's rights and the right to education to the forefront this year. In exclusive statements to Dumlupınar Newspaper on the occasion of World Day Against Child Labour, Hilal Gökbel, the head of the Kütahya branch of Eğitim Sen (Education Union), stated that child labour is increasing in Türkiye and criticized the practices of Vocational Training Centers (MESEM) in particular.
