Kashmir News |Farooq Abdullah addresses party workers on the death anniversary of 'Madar-e-Mehrban'

Calling for patience, unity and dignity, NC President Dr Farooq Abdullah said the people of Jammu and Kashmir should continue their democratic struggle for their rights and not lose hope despite political challenges. Addressing party workers on the death anniversary of Maadare Meherbaan, Dr. Abdullah recalled his interactions with the country's top leadership, saying he had conveyed that the trust deficit between New Delhi and the people of Jammu and Kashmir remains a major issue. He said that despite assurances about reducing the distance between hearts and Delhi the expectations of the people have not been fulfilled. Taking a dig at political opponents, Dr. Abdullah accused some leaders of pursuing personal interests at the cost of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
