"THE WEDDING BANQUET" - (Winters) by the CBC Hymn Sing Ensemble

This song has a very relevant message particularly now that fall has arrived & the harvest is upon us. It's based on Christ's parable of the rich Master who invited his friends to His Son's wedding banquet & they all decided not to come. (Matthew 22:2) "I cannot come! Don't trouble me now. I have fields & commitments that cost me a good sum. Pray, hold me excused, I cannot come!" So he tells His servants to go out & invite the poor & lame to fill the empty banquet seats. God's invitation to the marriage supper of Christ still stands; so before His harvest is over, let's answer "Oh, Lord, I сan & I will come!"
