COVES Webinar [June 2026]: The importance of methods [Roslyn Esperon, Walters Art Museum]
We’re honored and excited to bring you a presentation and conversation with Roslyn Esperon, Head of Community Engagement and Evaluation at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore. This talk highlights the similarities and differences between audience surveys relying on email distribution (like the Annual Survey of Museum Goers) and exit-intercepts (like COVES). Who are we reaching with each method, and what are the benefits and drawbacks of these two approaches? We explore the data to address these questions, raise a few additional considerations, and discuss the importance of methods when considering our visitors and their experiences.
