How to Use Rode Smartlav Plus with Zoom H6
Sorry for the auto-focus issues (yikes). The Rode Smartlav Plus is a lavalier microphone intended to be used with iPhones & iPads.(TRRS connection) Rode makes an adapter called the RODE SC3 to convert TRRS to TRS so you can use it with a device like the Zoom H6 Handy Recorder (excellent device). Steps: Plug in Rode Smartlav Plus to SC3 Adapter Plug in SC3 end to Line In Port on the Zoom X/Y Stereo Mic (the two microphones at the top of Zoom H6) Go to Menu...Input/Output...Plugin Power. Turn on Plug in Power Arm Recording on Zoom by hitting LR buttons on front of Zoom H6.
