The sensitivity of our bronchi to various stimuli is increased, and our airways are constricted. The causes and risks for the development of bronchial asthma are diverse. A distinction is made between endogenous and exogenous risk factors, which influence both the onset and progression of the disease. Endogenous risk factors describe all factors that come from within, so to speak, the body itself. These include: family predisposition increased body weight psychosocial stress (especially relevant with regard to the course of the disease; however, asthma does not arise from a psychological cause alone) Exogenous factors describe the opposite of endogenous factors. They are external influences. These include: allergens, i.e., substances to which you are allergic, e.g., pollen environmental influences, such as pollutants in the air substances to which you are exposed through your work, e.g., chemicals tobacco smoke diet certain medications, e.g., ibuprofen or aspirin possibly: infections, e.g., pneumonia In allergic asthma, substances to which we are allergic, so-called allergens, are responsible for the attack. These include: Pet dander Pollen Mold Mites Chemicals Medications Food Non-allergic asthma manifests itself in an attack under the influence of the following factors: Bacterial or viral infections Substances with which we come into contact at work (especially chemical substances) Approximately 40 percent of all adult asthmatics suffer from a mixed form of the asthma types mentioned here. Non-allergic plasma is also referred to in medicine as intrinsic asthma and does not exclude the involvement of allergens. There are other classifications of asthma or further subtypes. These include, for example, exercise-induced asthma, analgesic asthma (triggered by painkillers), GERD-associated asthma (triggered by reflux), and several others. It is important for the treating physician to be familiar with all these forms and factors, as treatment approaches can vary considerably. ▬ About this channel ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ With "Video Visit Dr. Weigl," you've found the current and medical-scientific channel that describes topics related to pain, #medicine, and #health in an understandable way, but based on facts, guidelines, and studies.
