Ganga Addara - Vijaya Kumarathunga || Piano Cover

A piano cover of the song Ganga Addara by Vijaya Kumarathunga, from the movie by the same name Ganga Addara. It's one of those timeless Sinhala songs and I had a great time arranging the piano cover and playing it. Ganga Addara, the movie, stars Vijaya Kumarathunga and Vasanthi Chathurani and it received many awards in Sri Lanka. A lot of artists have done covers of Ganga Addara, including many wonderful piano covers, with most of them slowing down the song compared to the original sung by Vijaya Kumarathunga. This was an inspiration for me and by slowing down the song on the piano I was able to add in improvisations and have fun with the arrangement.
