Divinity Original Sin 2 - Skipping the Final Boss with Persuasion

This video took a long time to make since everything surrounding it was a mystery. Well most people might not know this (since there is barely any info on the internet) but you can actually skip the entire final boss fight by talking and persuading the villain. Well explaining it is gonna be wall of text so be warned. First of all most people know how to skip first part of the fight with Lucian by saying you'll give up your source. For the second part with the braccus you have two options. Which are a [strength] and [intelligence] options about shutting him up (req. 5 persuasion) doesn't matter which one you pick. After this is where things get complicated. If you have become pure and have hero tag you can brag about your saintness and scare him to fight or you can deathfog arx and have villain tag and brag about out eviling him. But thing are a bit more complicated. Option 1: Pass the path of blood fairly and become pure and have the [Hero] tag These are the only criteria being pure and being hero which brings a hero dialogue option after the first persuasion. This is quite easy if you know what to do. Having hero tag is easy. However one thing to note is that you must not have the villain tag too. If you have both tags then you get neither [hero] dialogue option or the [villain] thus can't skip the fight. This seems to be the only time these tags cancel each other. Is this a bug or a feature we may never know. Second thing to note is the who's gonna have the dialogue with Braccus. Normally it is impossible to pick. Lucian always initiates the conversation with the main character/host of the server. There is no other choice but i found two workarounds. ● Kill the main character. If he/she is dead then lucian can converse with others. Whoever gets close to him first gets the convo. ( Also main character revives automatically after the braccus escapes so no worry) ● Do the first part of the final fight against lucian. When finished braccus will pick the closest character to him to initiate his conversation. Only the pure/hero person can have the hero dialogue option. You need 6 persuasion. Way it goes is that first you get the [strength] or [intelligence] option about silencing him. After successful persuasion if you fit the criteria about being hero/pure you get a [hero] option (or villain option if you go deathfog route). If you do not get either then its a mission failure. You have to do the fight. After the dialogue this time you gonna get an option about god king. These are [intelligence] and [memory] persuasions. After that depending on the choice you'll either get [memory] and [strength] option or two [strength] options. Persuade him successfully again then congrats. You have skipped the probably the hardest fight in the game by scaring the antagonist. Do note that while getting a new character from sergeant zrvilla is an easy way to get a pure character. You need to also get the hero tag to him/her aswell. I do not know is it possible to get it on act 4. So you might need to make a legit pure hero/pure char. Option 2: Deathfog the arx with the deathfog valve and have the villain tag This is definitely the easier way. Just like with hero option this appears at a the same dialogue after the first persuasion with Braccus. All you have to do is deathfog arx and having villain tag. However do note that only the person who turned the deatfog valve can have the villain dialogue. Others can not under any circumstances. Also turning the valve gives a lot of points towards the villain tag (almost guarantee to obtain it) so you can hit two birds with one stone. Another thing is same as the first one is you must not have the [hero] tag. If you have both you cannot get this. Again is it a feature I dont know. Dialogue path for this is same as hero one aswell. In fact there is no dialogue difference between both paths. Funny that after braccus escapes Lucian and Dallas do nothing to stop you and act like they are wounded. So you can pick any ending you want. Also there is an braccus ending slide if you skip the boss which i added at the end of the video A thanks This video took a pretty long time to make. It was so difficult to figure out why these options didn't appeared. I search and found and messaged people who said they got this dialogue and asked their circumstances to figure out how they got it. Searched many corners of the net. Yet found almost nothing. What really saved me was the larian support. After this many years they still answer mails which amazed me. They went as far as checking the triggers for the options which I am really grateful for. It would not be possible to solve this mystery otherwise. Also thanks to all I pm ed aswell. It was like a team effort.
