Qué es el rango dinámico en audio - producción musical
Oh, for those of you who are having trouble putting together a song, we've prepared this for you. http://refractionproductions.com/cour... ##### In this video, we'll look at what dynamic range is in audio or music. This is something important to understand if we want our mixes to sound good, with clear and crisp sounds at each frequency of the audible spectrum. It's also true that over the years, the way professionals have treated this audio characteristic has changed. Before, much more space was left, but today, we're in a volume war where very little dynamic space is left so everything sounds loud. (Let's see if we go deaf!) Anyway, take a look to learn more about dynamic range and apply it to your productions to achieve better, brighter, and more contrasting sound. ######## Dynamic range is the difference between the lowest and highest volumes within a track or audio. We don't have to be very clear about this when mixing and mastering a track. When we mix the tracks, they can't be too uneven. Many old tracks had a lot of dynamic range, but nowadays they don't have as much dynamic range. Here are two examples. In the past, they didn't need to be so tight. Today, everything is hyper-tight, and there's a very hardcore sound war going on, which we can talk about very soon. Then, I've put a cappella of one of my tracks here that does have more range. Okay? The difference in range between the highest point and the lowest point. Let's say one of the highest points would be this one, and this one would be one of the lowest points. Okay? Here, there is dynamic range. How would we control dynamic range? With compressors. In future videos, we'll cover vocal processing, but I wanted to clarify the dynamic range first because it doesn't just apply to vocals; it applies to everything, and it's one of the most important things. The lowest volume would be the volume heard before, or from, nothing. It's also worth noting that decibels aren't measured the same when we're mixing and mastering as they are in real life. But as you can see, in electronics in the digital world, the maximum we can do is 0. When it comes to mastering, as you can see, this topic is very tight at 0 decibels. Okay, it's not the same when we talk about decibels when you're at a concert where the decibels from the speakers reach you, as it is when we're talking about electronic music. I want you to be clear about that difference. Many of you already knew it, but there are also many people who are just starting out and don't understand these theoretical things. So, let's recap. The dynamic range would be the difference between the highest and lowest points. One of the highest points, as you can see, is here, and one of the lowest points is here. There would be a difference there. How would we control it? we will control it with compressors, converters, with imitators we will always make videos about this, we will make videos about voice treatments but above all I wanted you to know what dynamic range is because it affects everything when you mix a song when you master, when you work with many sounds, when you have an FX track, where one FX is an impact and another FX that maybe is an increase in noise and then there is a difference in volumes, it is clear that each thing must have its space, its volume but for example in vocals we are interested in the vocal being as equal as possible and we will see that in future video tutorials but I wanted you to be clear about the dynamic range because okay, in the past songs did have more range but from the 90s, 2000s that has changed a lot, in many styles of music because now things are very tight and there is a very, very intense war of volume so I hope this video tutorial has been very useful to you if you have any questions about the dynamic range about anything just ask in the We'll be happy to answer your comments and make new videos to make things even clearer. ###### And now for the links.
