We met at work in 2016. Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time? Jake - a sports loving accountant. Grew up in London and a huge Arsenal fan. Elisa - a hockey enthusiast. Also, an accountant. Grew up in Hertfordshire. Also loves dogs. We now both live in St Albans with our sausage dog Rolo. How did the proposal go down? (All the gushy details, I love this bit!) Nothing too special. Jake booked for us to go to Cowley Manor in Cotwolds as a birthday present for Elisa. Had pre-bought the ring (and asked permission). On first night of holiday, before dinner, Jake proposed! How did you choose your wedding venue(s)? We were undecided between a country house or a barn wedding. We wanted to be within an hour or so of London. Went to see 5 or 6 venues and Elisa especially absolutely fell in love with Hedsor House! What sort of experience do you want your guests to have? Ultimately just a really fun, memorable one. We want our guests to really enjoy themselves and remember a really special day. Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme? Elegant. Bridesmaids will be in a pastel blue. Flower colour scheme will be a pastel blue, blush pink and white/ivory Elisa's family are Italian, and Jake's family are Jewish. Whilst we are having a totally non-denomination wedding, we are trying to honour both families in little ways. We will have little Italian biscuits after dinner, pizza in the evening and then Israeli dancing after the first dance. What was the hardest decision during the planning? All of it was tricky! Nothing in particular. What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding? Nothing in particular.
