The weather system is expected to move west-northwest and cross the North Odisha coast near Balasore between Chandbali and Digha within the next 24 hours, bringing heavy to very heavy rainfall to several districts. Dr. Manorama Mohanty, Director of the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, said the depression is likely to make landfall near Balasore and advised people to remain alert as the weather system advances.
