Platform Release Displacement
I show off a new glitch I discovered, which I'm calling platform release displacement. Basically, if Mario clones and releases a rotating platform while he is standing on it, we get an effect similar to spawning displacement. That is, the platform's rotation vector applies to Mario for one frame longer than it should, and so it applies to him even after it's been relocated. Because the displacement of Mario is proportional to the distance between the platform and Mario, we can use this to generate large displacements by setting the HOLP really far away. In the video, I set the HOLP to be in a PU, so approximately 262,000 units away from Mario. Unfortunately, I don't believe this will help with ABC. P.S. I thought of this idea while going to bed, and as it turned out it actually works!
