Groundwork with Barry!
Barry is a 6 year old, competing at BE Novice level, and I have been working with him for 6 weeks now. He has improved hugely, but still has improvements to make in the way he carries himself and engages his core - especially in transitions. In this video, I will explain step by step about what I'm looking for and how to achieve it, so that you can try with your horse too! No matter what age or stage your horse is at, groundwork is vital! Groundwork done correctly can help your horses engage their bodies and build up muscle without the weight of a rider. If your horse can't engage their muscles correctly and make correct transitions with no tack or rider, how are they supposed to do it with you on? Rider First Training hopes to show riders (& owners) how much we can do for our horses to improve and increase their physical longevity! Follow for more in depth groundwork videos like this one... and look out for his canter video coming soon! Let me know what you think to my first video in the comments!
