The first turning point in the studio’s history happened between 1970 and 1974, when architects Alf M. Prasch, Wolfgang Nietz, and Peter Sigl became part of the first group of designers, bringing with them a new vision to the firm. After a series of important projects, Sergei Tchoban and Ekkehard Voss became partners in the studio in 1995, taking on leadership roles. Since 2009, the demands of a variety of projects have required further management changes. This has seen the studio expand and welcome new partners. In 2017, the studio adopted the name TCHOBAN VOSS Architekten to mark a new change. With offices in Hamburg, Berlin, and Dresden, and a highly skilled, interdisciplinary team of over 180 professionals, the firm continues today to shape the built environment, working with both public and private clients internationally. TCHOBAN VOSS Architekten boasts a broadly varied portfolio, with innovative, sustainable projects throughout Germany and beyond. From residential and commercial structures to hotels, office complexes, and factories, the firm’s experience encompasses every area of architecture, including the design and construction of recreational, educational, and community facilities, and the restoration and refurbishment of historical buildings. Modern communication methods, a clear office management structure, and a high level of professionalism allow the studio to meet the changes of our time with curiosity, adapting to emerging trends through ongoing training and new technologies.
