Art Brakes Ep 3

Every painting begins long before the first brushstroke. Join me as I head into the coastal rainforest of British Columbia's Sunshine Coast on my mountain bike, searching for the next field sketch location that will inspire a future landscape painting. These rides are one of the most important parts of my creative process. They allow me to slow down, explore, and discover those fleeting moments when light, composition, and the landscape come together in a way that simply can't be planned. In this episode, you'll ride alongside me through winding forest trails and quiet corners of the Pacific Northwest as I search for that perfect scene. Whether I find a dramatic mountain vista, a hidden coastline, or a peaceful stand of cedar trees, every journey helps shape the paintings that eventually emerge in my studio. My hope is that these videos inspire you to spend more time outdoors, notice the beauty that surrounds you, and reconnect with nature in a meaningful way. Whether you're an artist, a mountain biker, a hiker, or simply someone who enjoys the calm of the wilderness, I'm glad you're here. If you enjoy this video, I'd love for you to subscribe and join me on future adventures as I explore the landscapes of British Columbia, create field sketches in the wild, and transform those moments into original paintings.
