ORC Canal Rally 2024 - SS4: Wielsbeke 2 - all cars (raw footage) - treacherous cut!

A 2nd run on SS Wielsbeke, from the 16th ORC Canal Rally. I recorded at the location where I also recorded SS Wielsbeke 2 last year (SS5 back then). The rally traditionally consisted of 4 loops of 3 stages, but this year there is an additional 5th loop with the 2 longest stages. Therefore the schedule was a little tighter. We picked 2 consecutive locations on this stage, we quickly moved here after the final competitor from SS1 but he was immediately followed by the course cars for SS4, the first ones are at the end of the previous video (instead of at the beginning from this one). However it is the same location it is a very different video: due to the rain, the border in a cut on this road was very soft and every car taking it, made it deeper, but also threw mud on the road, making more cars think they had to take it to not go off the road. Instead they were caught in the cut and then pulled back on the road rather violent, or jumped on an asphalt entry to the farmland. Only one car surprisingly, Dimitri Bruyneel, could not keep it on the road, but he managed to keep the car upright and could continue! SS Wielsbeke is 7.16 km long this year. In this rally, the historic competitors drive first in reverse order (starting with the slower competitors, and ending with the fastest), followed by the modern competitors, from the fastest to the slowest. Stefaan Prinzie (249, Opel Ascona 400) +13.2 In Historic, there is an interesting battle going on: Vandoolaeghe is currently in the lead, 11.4 seconds before Cornelis. Vitse is currently 3rd on +8.9, but is also closely followed by Christophe Kerkhove (242, Porsche 911 ST) only 0.6 seconds behind... Paul Lietaer (245, Ford Escort RS1800 MKII), leader after SS1, has fallen behind: he went off the road on SS2 and lost 3:20.7 to Kerkhove, winner from that stage, and on this stage he again got stuck beside the road and lost +42.0 here behind Vitse (finishing P18 in historic).
