In this episode I talk with a fellow South Carolinian, Marvin King, the father of Grammy nominated guitarist and singer, Marcus King. Marvin resides in the beautiful city of Greenville, SC and is also a musician, as was his father. Marvin is proud to see his son Marcus carry on a family tradition. Even playing his grandfather’s rare “Big Red” Gibson guitar. Marcus has really exploded on the rock, country and blues scene over the last couple of years. He nominated for a Grammy and tours the world doing both acoustic and electric shows and has played with a who’s who in the rock, blues and country music scene. Marcus gave his father Marvin a chance to meet his guitar hero Eric Clapton, has sat in on recordings with his dad and is loving and humble brother to Holland and son to Marvin.
