Laid Off At 59 (My Perspective Day 30)

This video is about the harsh reality of losing your job and a few insights that follow with a few weeks of perspective. Everyone tells you that losing your job is a nightmare. And yeah, initially it was a shock. Now I’m one of the lucky ones, I got a severance package - unlike too many. Still, this is a 1st for me. I’ve had a full time job at 1 company of another since 1992. My life’s been a mad rush for the last 28 years. I’ve been so exhausted that I thought feeling wiped out was unavoidable. I forgot that I even had a comfort zone. Whenever I had down time, the easiest thing to do was crash on the couch. When I wanted to have fun, I had to squeeze my kicks into weekends and PTO. And then suddenly. I was let go. & Everything. Just. Stopped. No more bottomless emails. No more panicked phone calls coming in days, nights & weekends. No more projects. That have to be finished yesterday. Instead, there were crickets! Silence. It was weird.
