Free registration for Ecological Farm Week: https://bit.ly/semana_sitioeco Yes, it is possible to live on an ecological farm with clean air, fresh water, and poison-free food, even if you have no experience with rural life. During Ecological Farm Week, permaculturist Edilson Cazeloto, also known as Dirço, will show how anyone can make the transition to the countryside—and transform their farm into an environment that respects, preserves, and reforests nature. There will be three free online classes from May 2nd to 6th. Do you know how to choose a plot of land? Where to plant? What to plant? How to treat sewage? These are questions that anyone thinking about living on or already living on a farm should ask. Check out the Ecological Farm Week Schedule: May 2nd, Monday, at 8 p.m. Class 1 - Goodbye metropolis. I'm going to live in the countryside. What are the shortcuts to making the transition from the city to the countryside, revealing the struggles and joys of those who choose rural life? May 4th, Wednesday, at 8:00 PM Class 2 - Country Life: From Dream to Project You will learn the principles of permaculture, a lifestyle more integrated with Nature. May 6th, Friday, at 8:00 PM Class 3 - Ecological Farm in Practice How to plan a rural property in a way that not only respects but also regenerates Nature. Ecological Farm Week is for everyone who wants to move to the countryside, for those looking for land, or even for those who already own a rural property. But most importantly, for those who are aware of the responsibility and impact this change has on the environment. The transition doesn't just happen with a change of address from the city to the countryside. "We need a new perspective on life, personal relationships, and the environment," says Dirço. "Making a simple change, with the same predatory mentality as in the city, will further exacerbate the precarious conditions in rural areas." Dirço will present permaculture, an ecological design methodology with three ethical principles: caring for the Earth, caring for people, and sharing the surplus. Permaculture offers tools for decision-making that have a positive impact on the environment, generating a process of regeneration. Permaculture is a philosophy of abundance, which follows the same flow of nature. Ecological Site Week is organized by Universo da Floresta, a platform for courses in the areas of permaculture, bioconstruction, phytotherapy, and agroforestry. Do you know Dirço? Edilson "Dirço" Cazeloto has been a permaculturist since 2008. A former graduate professor, he left academia at its peak to transition to living in the countryside. He is currently the caretaker of Sítio Pau Dágua, a space dedicated to courses and events in the areas of Permaculture, Agroecology, Bioconstruction, Integral Health, and Popular Culture. In five years, the site, which was formerly pasture, has transformed into a small oasis. Half of the three acres are being reforested (3,000 trees planted in the last two years), and three Agroforestry System modules have already been implemented. Today, it features rainwater harvesting, ecological water treatment, a reforestation program, and bioconstruction houses. Register for free https://bit.ly/semana_sitioeco
