On many occasions, you may find yourself having to weld an omega or other reinforcement onto a sheet metal. This involves abrading and cleaning the back of the piece, which is compromised by the heat during the welding process. Without sacrificing mechanical strength, you can apply "structural" adhesives that leave the parts unaltered, resulting in a clean finish with the same desired strength.
