This time, we'll be fishing for sea bass in the middle of winter. While the typical winter sea bass fishing pattern in the inner Tokyo Bay is the outflowing bait and the bait pattern on the outflowing tide, the opposite pattern is the midnight outflowing tide pattern. This pattern, which occurs during tides and times when the outflowing bait isn't present, also allows us to target large sea bass caught in the rising warm water. The main baits are Japanese inago and goby. Depending on the area, this is a midwinter pattern where we can also target Konoshiro. The lures used are the same as the standard inago and Konoshiro patterns: wake lures, shallow runners, and sinking pencils ranging from 9cm to 14cm.
