WEBINAR | Documenting the Estimate Basis By: Louis Vidotto, Vidotto Group, Vice President AACE Australian Section This webinar will discuss the importance of the estimate process that ensures that the estimate meets the requirements of the project and business, whether it is a Contractor’s estimate or a Project estimate. The Basis of Estimate documents the estimate and becomes the one deliverable that describes the scope of the project, execution strategies and assumptions made in the build up of the estimate. The Basis of Estimate is the basis for Change Management. Reference will be made to AACE recommended practices: 106R-19 Development of the Cost Estimate Basis as applied in Engineering, Procurement and Construction for the Process industry and 31R-03 Documenting the Estimate. ABOUT THE SPEAKER Lou is a Senior Project Controls Manager with 35 years of engineering experience encompassing roles such as Project Controls Engineer and Manager, Site Engineer and Estimator on major resource projects in Australia and internationally. In 2010 he founded Vidotto Group, a project delivery and management firm working within the resources and infrastructure industries, both within Australia and internationally. He's currently Vice President of the AACE Australian Section and Chair of Queensland Area. Lou is experienced in all facets of Project Controls Management, estimating, budget preparation, cost control and reporting, planning and scheduling, contractor claims assessment, documentation control and project reporting, on all phases of major resource and projects from concept phase to execution and handover. His experience also includes work with Owners teams and EPCM contractors.
