Bronze Casting By The Lost Wax Process. Sitting Nude Revisited. Pt 3 Chasing, Patina & Stone Base.

Many years ago one of my first sculptures was of a nude woman sitting on a block of soap stone. I sculpted this piece without reference to any photos etc just using my knowledge at the time of anatomy. The figure has an art deco look about it. Taking a look at this sculpture again I decided to modify it to make it look a bit more realistic. I still have the original mould so I cast a wax from it and added to it with oil based clay to produce a piece more anatomically accurate. This set of videos shows the bronze casting of this piece from start to finish. In this third video I show chasing the bronze applying a patina and making and mounting on a stone base.
