Life on a Remote Island - The Calf of Man (Episode 1). The Wardens are back for the 2024 season!

I am about to embark on an adventure of a lifetime! For the next 9 months, I will be living and working on a remote island in the Irish Sea! Join me on this adventure as I give you an insight into off-grid living and our daily antics, whilst sharing why island life is so special. I am one of four Wardens living and working on the Calf of Man, a remote island, Bird Observatory and Nature Reserve located just off of the Isle of Man. The island is owned by Manx National Heritage and run in partnership with the Manx Wildlife Trust and we are here for the season, that runs from March to November. At the age of 28, I have just quit my job to pursue a different lifestyle, a simpler way of life close to nature.
