The first day in the dunes is tough for everyone. We learned a lot of lessons; the desert leaves no one indifferent. The sands change in hardness and temperature, and driving is nothing like what we usually consider "normal." When you want to go up, you fall, and when you want to go down, it's because you want to go up. Everything is "backwards." If you fight, you get stuck; if you accelerate too much, you get stuck. Your only allies are inertia and speed.
