Early childhood education in Japan: My nursery is different (Learning World: S3E35, 2/3)
These children enrolled at a pre-school in Kyoto, Japan, come from families where both parents are working. Many children spend most of their day and part of the night at this center due to their parents' long working hours. The children are involved in various learning activities that help in their overall development. This school has found a novel way to involve parents in their children's' education. Parents are encouraged to make traditional Japanese lunches for their children to bring along. The founder of the program believes that this approach helps transmitting both parents' love while their children are at nursery.
