Testing British Airways OLDEST First Class: London to New York (Was it a waste?)

Can a great crew save an outdated first-class seat on the most competitive flight route in the world? ✈️🇬🇧🇺🇸 Today, we are flying British Airways First Class from London Heathrow (LHR) to New York (JFK) on the Boeing 777. But there’s a catch: we ended up in BA's absolute OLDEST flying First Class product (the infamous 2010 "Prime" seat). While this exact ticket can easily sell for over £5,000 cash, thankfully, we didn't pay anywhere near that amount for this trip! But even with a discounted or points booking, does this experience actually hold up against modern luxury travel? The highlight of the flight was undoubtedly the incredible British Airways cabin crew; they were attentive, charming, and genuinely made the flight special. Another massive plus was the "buddy dining" feature, allowing us to sit face-to-face and enjoy a full first-class meal together at 35,000 feet. However, it’s a real shame about the dated seat. With no privacy door, ageing tech, and noticeable wear-and-tear, it’s a far cry from what you expect when you see "First Class" on the ticket. Watch the full review to see the food, the lounge, the retro cabin, and our final verdict on whether BA's oldest First Class is still worth it!
