Montagne de la Sainte Victoire

Superb hike on Mont Sainte-Victoire. With my friend Luigi from the Lu.Do-Box channel, we embarked on this technical 11km loop with 750m of elevation gain, on the south face of Sainte-Victoire. A powerful feeling right from the start, where we felt so small in the face of this steep and wild cliff. Starting from the Deux Aiguilles parking lot; ascent to the ridge via the marble quarry and the Brèche du Clapier. Following the ridge to the Croix de Provence and the Sainte-Victoire priory. Descent via the Pas du Berger and the Cézanne refuge. A superb outing where we thoroughly enjoyed the climb, sometimes using our hands, and were treated to breathtaking views all along the ridge. The descent offered us a variety of landscapes and plenty of little surprises. I absolutely loved this route, which is much more varied and less popular than the ascent via Lac Bimont or Le Thoronet, which I'd done before.
