Should I Start Seed Small Plant Company/Business? #homesteading #free #frugalliving #garden #plants
I've been deliberating on whether or not to make my hobby, no - my passion, into a small business. The more I delve into it, the more rules I find. So, should I jump in and go for it? Or, just keep going broke giving seeds and plants away for free? Check out what I'm donating to the local seed library. And way more to come. This is what I prepared on my way to another errand. I have to fidget and making seed packets keeps my hands busy in the evenings. I want every person to have access to producing their own food and growing plants- which is good for the body, soul, and mind. I need this channel to take off - gain momentum. Please comment, please like, and share with your friends, subscribe if you haven't. Watching my videos when they first post also really helps the algorithm. Watch to the end. Rewatch. Watch my older videos. Comment on them. I'm a single mom and grandma, raising a small village of my own. Something's gotta give. The business idea could be the ticket. But it's also a risk. Maybe I'll break even. At the least, I need a new tax person. My tax lady works for the IRS and it's a conflict of interest if any sales from my future small company should cross her desk, if she then accepts money from me to file my taxes later. So, that's sad. I really like her. But, I've been wanting to do this for a while and I was born with a sort of entrepreneurial spirit. I think it would be a good distraction from being newly divorced. Comment- start the business or not? And if so, I am absorbing information - so bring on the comments. What type of seeds should I be sure to include? If I do both the plant shop and seed store, any special varieties that would be just amazing to offer? For charities, any thoughts on my seed donations? I don't want to undermine my small business, but not everyone can afford anything extra right now. What would you say a small company should do to make sure they stay in the green (black ink) and maintain its values to make this experience truly accessible to anyone?
