Hibana Tachi Sword Review Over-a-Drink & Test Cutting of Katana by Romance of Men
Let me introduce my new video series: Over-a-Drink Sword Reviews. The first one in this series sees me checking out the Hibana (Spark) Tachi by Romance of Men over a tokkuri (flask) of Japanese sake. A Kotō style deep-sori blade with full tachi mounting, this sword embodies the handling characteristics of older Japanese katanas and the visual elements of tachikoshirae, though the spring steel blade emphasizes on performance and durability rather than the hada and hamon on Japanese swords forged from traditional tamahagane steel. I had a lot of fun going over the different aspects of this sword and testing it with my son.
