At 16, she was selected for the U20 Team USA that won silver in Ireland, and then returned to captain that team two years later to a gold medal in Lecco in 2014. Her college career began in 2013. Throughout her time at Dartmouth, Princess Layout has steadily increased in post-season finish, from 3rd at regionals her freshman year to national recognition in 2016, where she was the Offensive Player of the Year. After her freshman year, she joined Boston Brute Squad and was a critical part of their back-to-back national championships, earning herself 2nd-team All American and Defensive POTY Runner-Up in 2016. In her past two years as a captain, Angela has demonstrated the commitment of one thousand suns literally blinding us all with her positivity, poise, and relentless grit. "I think she's literally the best captain in the whole world," says Co-Captain Semi Colon, "I'm gonna cry." Angela has an incredible ability to inspire confidence and fire in her teammates, both in competition and during practices and workouts. Any of us would gladly fight a bear for Angela, and though we would lose, Angela would come through and kill the bear herself so it would be fine. It's all a circle of trust, as Angela might say. In competition, Angela's fierceness is matched by her unwavering integrity and respect for her opponents and the game. She epitomizes the athlete, teammate and leader that we all want to be; plus, she has the strongest nap-and-rally game that anyone has ever seen.
