Charvel Model 3A Review Another Charvel from the famous Charvel Model (or Charvel Import) series that used to be in production during the second half of 80’s in Japan. Charvel Model 3A made in 1987 or 1988 besides its basic great and rich rock and metal sound delivers interesting tone variations in the selector's positions in between the full Jackson J80 humbuckers, which can suit different styles of music like blues, funk, jazz (using the tone knob, haha).
