In a horrifying incident, a 30-year-old Telugu software engineer from Hyderabad, Avinash Narne, was arrested by US police for killing his 27-year-old wife, Rajitha Sabbineni. In October 2025, Avinash strangled his wife to death and staged it as a bathroom accident. However, after a 9-month long deep investigation, the US police uncovered that Avinash committed this heinous crime for his long-time girlfriend in India. On the day of the murder, he not only called his girlfriend multiple times but also shared a photo of his wife's dead body with her on WhatsApp. Shocking text messages from Rajitha also revealed that Avinash was giving her bitter-tasting smoothies, suspected to be laced with pills/poison.
