Princes and Paupers: Classic lenses, copies & cheaper alternatives. 90% performance, 10% price.

This video looks at how some of the best and most expensive camera lenses ever made have been copied or their optical designs cloned by other manufacturers. It groups princes and paupers into five different categories, and covers a variety of examples in each category. At the end, I discuss the assertion that the “paupers” can deliver 90% of the performance for 10% of the price.
