This is how Synthpop was born, one of those musical genres that was very important for the eighties. The Human League, Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Fad Gadget. Visage, Ultravox or Spandau Ballet were some of the names that would be found in the British independent lists as well as in the commercial ones, being frequently seen in programs such as MTV. But if we must talk about pioneer bands, one of them is undoubtedly OMD, a group from Liverpool extremely indispensable to get into Synthpop, releasing experimental and solid albums that transcended in the early eighties.
