The Real Reason Your Future Feels Stuck (Most Christians Miss This)

Loyalty sounds real good until it costs you something. Jonathan was next in line for the throne. A warrior, a proven leader, the king's son. The crown was his. Then he saw the hand of God on David. Instead of competing, instead of protecting his position, he took off his robe, his armor, his sword, and gave it all away. That wasn't kindness. That was surrender. Most of us don't struggle to give up what we don't have. We struggle to give up what we believe is ours. Our plans, our position, our future. Jonathan trusted God's plan more than his own potential. He never became king. He never sat on the throne. He died in battle. From the outside, it looks like faithfulness cost him everything and gained him nothing. The greatest thing you can do with your life is not build your own kingdom. It's to be faithful to God's kingdom. Let go of the throne. Trust the plan! — Are we loyal to God? We want Him to be loyal to us. Loyalty recognizes God’s hand. Loyalty to God will sometimes cost you something you thought was yours. If you don’t love the word, you don’t love God anyway. God’s direction and your ambition will sometimes not line up. Jonathan’s loyalty bore fruit he never lived to see. The world measures success by position, God measures it by faithfulness. We will always stand for truth and righteousness and never compromise!
