Balikumbat barbaric attacks on Bambalang

In the West African country of Cameroon, ''crime against humanity'' was committed March 4-8, 2011. In the night of March 4-5, 2011, the village of Balikumbat, which has a history of invading her neighbours to seize territory, launched a callous, vicious, and barbaric war on the neighbouring village of Bambalang using machine guns, multiple round rifles, machetes, axes, and clubs. They also used gasoline and lighters to burn down all buildings along their invading path. By the time a unit of the Cameroon army intervened to stop them on March 8, the destruction by Balikumbat could be rightly classified as "crime against humanity": more than 400 compounds were looted and then burnt to ashes, rendering more than 5,000 people homeless and displaced; four people were shot to death, one of whose corpse was badly abused in various ways; scores of people were wounded, some of whom are still getting medical attention; all livestock encountered by the plunderers were either destroyed or stolen; and all the crops were destroyed and fruit trees cut down. Please follow the link below to see the revealing pictures of the destruction and desolation with your own eyes. Since March 7, 2011, all media in Cameroon (TV, radio and newspapers) have been reporting on the invasion of Bambalang by Balikumbat. Since that calculated, vicious, and barbaric attack, more than 5,000 Bambalang people have been living in horrible and unimaginable conditions. These war victims are in dire need of basic life necessities: shelter, medical supplies, food; and materials to rebuild their homes that have been burnt down. These homeless, displaced, and destitute war victims include over one thousand school children whose homes, books and belongings have been burnt. Please help these innocent war victims who have been completely deprived of all their livelihood and basic needs. Every cent you give counts and will be greatly appreciated. Your donation will go a long way to alleviating the desperate and desolate conditions of these war victims. Please search your soul and give generously.
