Biblical discernment is the God-given ability to recognize and judge what is true, right, and consistent with God’s will. It involves carefully evaluating teachings, choices, circumstances, and spiritual influences according to Scripture rather than relying only on feelings, opinions, or appearances. The Bible describes discernment as a mark of spiritual maturity: “But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” — Hebrews 5:14
