They were passing the scene of the crime where he allegedly stabbed his neighbor Cedric (17) to death on Ascension Day in May 2020. Across the street, on the other side of the street, Cedric's parents were walking home from the cemetery. The verdict in the trial was handed down on June 28, 2021. The defense had argued for acquittal, the victim's family for six years, and the prosecution for five years and one month for manslaughter in a less serious case.
